Docker jitsi11/28/2023 ![]() 8x8 Jitsi as a Service (JaaS) is an enterprise-ready video meeting platform that allows developers, organizations and businesses to easily build and deploy video solutions. This is what I do to update my Jitsi instance. If you like the flexibility the Docker setup provides but you'd rather not host it yourself you might be interested in JaaS. If you want to update then I recommend doing something like: "git fetch -all & git checkout ", "docker-compose down", "docker-compose pull", and then "docker-compose up -d". If you're using an unmodified version from the docker-jitsi-meet repo then the version being used will match the release you checked out. Generally, the image version you're using is baked into the docker-compose.yml file. Down and then up will remove and recreate the containers but it will not necessarily pull a new image because Docker caches images locally. > According to my research since every time I docker compose up or down, the image is being pulled in the repo? This would look like a ' - "/path/to/my/config.json:/config/custom-config.json' entry in the "volumes" section of your docker compose. From there, you can inject only your configuration overrides for the config.json by mounting it in your container as "/config/custom-config.json". If you need to configure options that are not supported through the ".env" file then, first, be sure to open an issue because the Jitsi maintainers intend for ".env" to manage all the configurations. That being said, I don't heavily configure the instance such as disabling reactions, etc. I manage everything through the ".env" file. jitsi-meet-cfg/web path instead of the original one in the docker-compose.yml? (image: jitsi/web:latest) I am new to all of these so please bear with me.Īccording to my research since every time I docker compose up or down, the image is being pulled in the repo? am I right? but if that’s the case how did I manage to DisableReactions = 1 / true?ĭelete all the container, change the docker-compose.yml file to use the local host. ![]() env in my env file and also in the settings-config folder found in /docker-jitsi-meet/web/defaults/rootfs (Not exact path but only what I could remember). jitsi-meet-cfg/web ? in the host file?įor instance I have successfully remove the reactions… however I can’t figure out where I disabled it exactly, I disabed it through. Installed jitsi with docker, can someone please put me into the right direction? I can’t seem to understand how the config file works?, where do I exactly edit jitsi meet configuration?, is it through. What Is SelfHosted, As it pertains to this subreddit?
